Introduction

"Where do I start?" - this thought runs through the minds of almost everyone who begins scientific research or wants to master a new technique.
We know the feeling when we have to explain to each new student over and over what a term paper, a diploma, a dissertation, or a scientific article is. We also have to show them how to review literature and choose methods. It’s especially time-consuming to teach more advanced techniques and guide them in the correct and ethical use of AI as an assistant.
Scientists brilliantly share their breakthrough research at conferences, but how can we make this exchange more useful? You can learn about a new technique from a colleague and be interested in it, but there are often discouraging difficulties along the way. Few people are willing to overcome them on their own.
If someone had shared a step-by-step guide like this with us ten years ago, we would have avoided some of the bumps on our scientific journey, moved faster, and certainly smiled more. However, we were fortunate to meet people with the same passion. The laboratory would like to thank its fellow authors who believed in this project and were not afraid to share their research methodology with the scientific community.
